When 2013 Comes To an End . . . .

How in the WORLD is it the end of 2013 already? Oh.My.Gosh, I feel like it was just January of 2013, and now it’s THIS CLOSE to January 2014. I’m pretty sure all I did was blink and 2013 was over.

The older I get, the quicker the years go. I think that once I hit about 18 (2 whole whopping years ago), the years started flying. It may have something to do with the fact that I’m now finished with school and am working instead of being at home all day doing school.

Not only are the years passing by quickly, but it seems like there’s never enough time in the day to get everything done that I want to get done. I usually have something on the calendar for every day of the week – between 3 jobs (starting a new one Thursday), family get togethers, and random appointments, I barely have time to write a post on my blog anymore. But I find time because I can’t neglect this like I used to! (I paid for a domain, so I can’t let it fail! :p)

But, looking back at 2013, I think that I’ve had a pretty good year. I may have had some hard days, some weird days, some quirky days. But I’ve also had some AWESOME, incredible and really cool days, as well.

I’m going to post a picture from EACH MONTH of 2013 that I found on Facebook, or on my computer. It may be random and weird, but it’ll be my year in pictures!

January: watching a movie with the girlies that I babysat until May of 2013. (this is what we would do when it was WAY too cold to go outside…like January is!) 37067_10200281615352766_699869809_n

February: Hanging out with my lil friend, Chase, at one of my brother’s indoor soccer games! (Kids and I are like peanut butter and jelly – we just go together!)

March: After a fun trip to see the Harlem Globetrotters, we stopped for ice cream. Ian likes to eat his ice cream, but he also likes to wear it.

April: On the 20th of April, my baby brother turned 7. Can’t believe how fast he’s growing up!

May: In May, I stopped babysitting the kids I was watching in order to start a full-time internship at a local business. But that doesn’t mean that I didn’t miss the kids I watched!

June: We went to the beach in June, and just like always, I got a sunburn. Only this year, I got a sunburn on my feet. It hurt like crazy!

July: In July, we got the newest addition to our family – Frodo! Our Shih Tzu/Maltese cutie.

August: In August, at a yard sale, I hit the jack pot. You all know that I adore cooking. Well, I found 105 cooking magazines in a box – each marked 50 cents. Well, I wanted them all. I asked the lady if she’d take $5…thinking she’d say no. She said “Yep…that’ll work!” JACK POT! Literally in cooking/recipe heaven!

September: In September, there was a LOT we did. But since I’m only doing 1 picture, I decided on one of my mom and her great friend. Mom and I took Suzanne to Lancaster for her birthday! We went to Kitchen Kettle Village and couldn’t help but take this adorable picture!

October: Photo collage for November! First off, my good friend Sam came to visit me for a weekend from college a few hours away! It was great to see her. A few days after she left, I got my cartilage pierced (an early birthday gift for myself!)

November: For Thanksgiving, my uncle and aunt came to visit for the day. So I took a picture with my cousin, Grant. Oldest & Youngest Grandkids on my mom’s side!

December: And….last, but certainly not least…my family spent 10 days in FL this month at our favorite place in the entire world! It was great to be back!

So, there ya have it! My year in some pictures! (There was so much more that happened in 2013, but I couldn’t make my blog post THAT long!)

  • Great minds . . . I was just thinking of doing a Year in Review post as well. 🙂 I’ll have to work on that, between loads of laundry!
